Fiona
Stark
Fiona is a yoga teacher from Scotland with a long-standing interest in mindfulness, meditation, and the mind–body connection. First introduced to yoga as a teenager with her mum, her practice has ebbed and flowed across a range of styles, shaped by travel and the classes she found along the way.
Initially drawn to the physical practice to support other activities, Fiona gradually came to appreciate Yoga’s more reflective and subtle aspects. After moving to Revelstoke in 2025, daily practice at Balu inspired her to complete her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training with Shamana in Guatemala.
Her background as a Clinical Psychologist and in trauma-informed, somatic approaches, informs her curiosity about how embodied practice can support wellbeing — while still holding yoga as something that can be challenging, playful, and fun.
Fiona’s classes offer a relaxed, supportive space to move, breathe, and tune inward. She is excited to be teaching at Balu and continuing to learn alongside the community. Outside the studio, she enjoys skiing, open-water swimming, hiking, cycling, and camping.
