Thai Massage: The Art of Present Touch
Gift presence through touch.
An evening of guided, clothed bodywork that releases tension and restores connection. Go home with a felt sense of what touch feels good—and how to offer it while staying present with yourself.
What to Expect:
This holistic bodywork is practiced clothed on mats on the floor. No oils, no undressing—just slow, deep, intentional touch that combines assisted stretching, acupressure, and rhythmic compression.
Flora will guide you step-by-step through a sequence you get to learn and experience, ask questions about, take home and practice. You’ll learn how to give touch that feels good to offer—sustainable, grounded, and nourishing for both giver and receiver.
What makes this practice different:
Thai massage teaches you to work with your body weight, not against it. You’ll learn to give from your entire body, so you can offer deep, effective touch without depleting yourself. This is the antidote to people-pleasing massages.
Safety & Boundaries:
All touch is consensual, communicated, and respectful. We’ll establish clear agreements at the start. You’re welcome to opt out of any technique that doesn’t feel right. This is a somatic practice rooted in presence and respect.
Who this is for:
People looking to restore intimacy through non-sexual touch. Individuals curious about embodied connection. Anyone who wants to learn sustainable, healing touch they can bring home.
Come solo or with a partner—we’ll pair solo attendees thoughtfully.
What to bring: Comfortable, stretchy clothing (yoga wear or loose pants and a fitted sweater work well). Curiosity. Care.
Teacher Flora Petri:
Flora Petri is a practitioner of presence—through embodied eros, breath and touch.
After burning out twice in high-stakes careers in Austrian corporate law and international diplomacy, Flora spent the next decade returning to her body. She trained in yoga across India, South Africa, and North America, and studied Osteo Thai and traditional Thai massage with founding teachers of the Sunshine Network.
What drew her to Thai massage was its elegant simplicity: the practice teaches you to give from your center, not your edges. To offer deep, therapeutic touch without exhausting yourself. To end the pattern of people-pleasing through your hands.
Flora now weaves Thai bodywork, somatic awareness, and nervous system healing into her offerings—whether guiding yoga classes, facilitating intimate workshops, or working one-on-one with clients seeking to restore aliveness in their bodies and relationships.
She believes touch is a conversation. And presence is the language that makes it sacred.
Flora teaches in English, French, and German, and brings warmth, curiosity, and groundedness to every space she holds.
