Nat
Spittal
Originally from Perth, Western Australia, Nat has called Revelstoke home since 2016.
She completed her initial teacher training in Bali in 2013 with Tracey Rohan Irwin, whose studies included extensive time with Pattabhi Jois and B. K. S. Iyengar, and who passed on the intricacies of alignment and strong foundational principles. She has since completed a Prenatal Yoga Teaching Certification and a 500-hour Advanced Yoga Teacher Training with Kosta Miachin, deepening her understanding of yoga philosophy, advanced asana, pranayama, and bandhas as an energetic system for personal evolution.
Fascinated by yoga’s ability to raise one’s awareness and create positive change, Nat also studied ACT psychotherapy to better understand applied mindfulness and a framework for values based living. She has explored the anatomy of myofascial meridians and how fascial fitness is integrated into yoga. Over time, she has immersed herself in a wide range of classes, immersions, and workshops, developing a broad and discerning approach to the practice.
Nat’s intelligent sequencing balances the body by syncing breath with mindful movement, nurturing an awareness of alignment to strengthen the body in a sustainable way. Empowering your wellbeing through focused physical effort and simultaneously completely surrendering into the present moment to release tension and allow a sense of ease.
Nat believes that dedication to a regular yoga practice can generate a positive ripple effect that continues to benefit many aspects of your life and the world around you. She shares her love of yoga by passing on the eclectic teachings that have inspired her and raised her awareness.
