Lyndi grew up in Banff, Alberta with ample outdoor and adventure time. She feels most grounded in a small, active and vibrant mountain community, which is why Revelstoke so naturally became her home in 2013.
Lyndi has two roles at the studio, one as a yoga teacher and the other as Studio Manager. She appreciates the atmosphere of the studio space and of working with Noelle, who acts as an exceptional mentor for both business experience and yoga teaching experience.
Yoga has always been present in Lyndi’s life, as her mom has actively practiced for as long as she can remember. This has paved a path for Lyndi to venture on her own yoga journey when she was ready to do so. Yoga became a part of her daily life in 2008, after moving to Victoria, BC to attend university. It became a consistent and important part of learning to juggle school and city life, finding focus and a calm environment on her mat.
Having explored a variety of classes, studios and teachers she is always drawn back to continuous movement linked with breath, a love she has found most prevalent in Vinyasa Flow classes. Lyndi completed her 200 YTT in cottage country Ontario in June 2015 with Julia McCabe, a women who builds her practice around a strong foundation, great music and getting comfortable with the uncomfortable.
In Lyndi’s Studio Manager role, she focuses her concentration on marketing efforts and interacting with our Balu Kula. Her degree in Small Business Management and Marketing Communications along with her love of community and communication has been an asset as she walks alongside Noelle, Studio Owner & Mentor, assisting in the daily operations of Balu Yoga & Wellness.
“In the midst of movement and chaos, keep stillness inside of you.”
