Covid Protocols In Studio

Welcome to Balu Yoga & Wellness.

Last updated Jan 1, 2021.

We will reopen our doors as of Dec 16, 2020. The provincial health order now allows to be open. To view the PDF provided by the PHO’s office please view this document, page 11 section E. We’re doing everything in our power to keep our space healthy and continue to work with ongoing health advisory changes and updates.

NEW UPDATE:
As of late November, masks use is required in all indoor spaces. Hand washing is mandatory once entering the building.
We’re decreasing class numbers to 9ppl

NEW MASK UPDATE: As per the provincial regulations, we’re able to remove masks while on our mats in the studio. Which means, you must wear a mask coming and leaving the studio and anytime you’re off your mat. However, while on your mat you’re allowed to remove your mask. So you can choose to wear or not wear a mask in studio. It will be up to you. Just like in a restaurant, you’re able to remove masks at your table, the same principles are being applied to yoga.

We will be doing temperature checks upon entrance into the building. You will also read our covid health check and confirm you’re not experiencing any symptoms.

Ultimately we’re making choices based on keeping our community healthy and finding safe practices to keep the studio open.

We have 5 ppl in the front entrance at a time. We have a covered front entrance so if you’re waiting outside you’ll be protected from the elements. We’re doing regular daily cleaning of the space, doors and handles and bathrooms. We also have ‘individual use’ cloths in bathrooms.

You’re welcome to bring your own mat or rent one at the studio.

You can register online or drop in for classes (online health survey when you book classes). For those that register online you’ll be able to cancel pre-booked spots up to 1 hours before the class. Outside of that you’ll be charged $15 for no shows for unlimited passes and a pass deducted of 10 and 20 time punch passes. This is due to our limited spots per class and we want to keep available spaces for those who are able to commit to attending classes.

For those who are unable to attend classes in person, we will have some classes available by live stream weekly. Please check on the online schedule and look for the virtual icon beside a class.
