Kelsey grew up in Dawson Creek, BC. While traveling to São Paula during high school, she was introduced to yoga at small dance studio, where she was hooked immediately. After high school, her travels continued, until 2007 when she moved to Revelstoke. It was here that she found more time on her mat, practicing with Bryan Kest Power Yoga videos in the living room with her old roommate and attending classes at Balu, in Vancouver & online. Upon discovering Meghan Currie and Clara Roberts-Oss, she was instantly drawn to their teaching styles, which led to an interest in deepening her practice.
In 2013, Kelsey completed her 200hr YTT with Meghan Currie. She had no real intention to teach, but more of an intention to develop a home practice. Time on her mat is time cherished – time to turn off and let go – time to recharge. She teaches what she likes to practice, what feels good in her body and what allows her to be focused, intensely aware of the present moment, all while noticing the subtle sensations and emotions that arise.
