Pranam in Sanskrit means to surrender. It is the act of bowing or prostration to the Supreme Spirit of Divine Presence, with outer movement, to express faith and devotion from within.

The Forgiveness Series provides a moving meditation as a platform to release our egocentric traits that are obstacles to our self-development and spiritual growth, in order to reveal the universal and divine qualities within us.

This offering is a series of nine asanas within 28 rounds of Namaskars (salutations) that form a flow movement, connected at the beginning and end of a series by mantra, in the form of prayer.

Yoga Nidra

“Yoga nidra (Sanskrit: योग निद्रा) or yogic sleep) is a state of consciousness between waking and sleeping, like the “going-to-sleep” stage. It is a state in which the body is completely relaxed, and the practitioner becomes systematically and increasingly aware of the inner world by following a set of verbal instructions. This state of consciousness (yoga nidra) is different from meditation in which concentration on a single focus is required. In yoga nidra the practitioner remains in a state of light pratyahara with four of his or her senses internalized, that is, withdrawn, and only the hearing still connects to the instructions.” Wikipedia

The Power of Sound

Sound can have a profound effect on our well-being. We are moved by certain songs, we feel clearer after listening to the sound of our breath, and calm after listening to the sounds of nature…
The act of singing is an act of vibration, which reverberates through the entire body and ignites the chakras, connecting us to each other and to ourselves. This very act can be deeply therapeutic – especially when done together as a group.  Age-old traditions such as chanting, mantras and gyms are embedded in the meditative aspect of producing sound and accessing higher states of consciousness.

Join Lisa Cyr for an evening of breath, flow and sound where we will explore how to use sound to move energy through the chakras; the profound power of chanting, and the healing effects of a sound bowl meditation.

Sacroiliac aka SI Joint Workshop

SI joint pain can be a pain in the behind… literally!
The Sacroiliac Joint is located between our hips & quite often this joint is involved in low back pain and can couple with sciatic pain. Sciatic pain or ‘Sciatica” is nerve pain travelling down the back of the thigh.

This workshop will include:

  • Gentle movements to improve fluidity and alignment of the SI joint
  • Anatomy and healthy movement
  • Common causes of SI joint dysfunction
  • Helpful tips to prevent SI joint pain.
